Community Message - Electric bikes & E-scooters

Just to be clear, we are not the “fun police”. We understand that electric bikes and scooters can be fun, and there wouldn't be an issue if they were ridden in the correct places and responsibly

However, we are increasingly concerns by the behaviour we are witnessing, including children as young as 7/8 years old wearing balaclavas, riding dangerously and attempting to make off from police. This is simply not acceptable

For anyone identified as being involved in this behaviour, we are working closely with housing providers and partner agencies. We will pursue all appropriate avenues to address this behaviour

Our aim isn't to stop people having fun, it is to keep our community safe and protect our children

We will be taking a zero tolerance approach to dangerous and anti-social behaviour.
